My Education

My education in multi media design started in grade 9 with my basic integrated technology class. My teacher had us make stop animations and very basic designs.

I then took grade 10 Communications Technology where I created logo’s, videos, as well as flash animations.

Grade 11 was a busy year; with Comm Tech, Yearbook design, and Technology Design. I was an editor of the yearbook and one of the top students in all three classes all the while being Student Council President. I designed houses, logos and everything else believable.

Grade 12 I only had on comm tech class however I had the top mark and I Co-oped with the Head of the Tech Department for a semester as well. Grade 12 was the year that I finally decided what I wanted to do for school.

Now I am attending The University of Guelph in the third year of my Marketing Management Degree, something I consider to be a great combination with my Media and Agricultural background.

Areas if focus my studies on include Marketing Communication, Foundations of Leadership, Computing, Consumer Behaviours and Research Methods. I am also a student Intern in the SPARK program which operates out of the Office of Research for the University.

Students Promoting Awarness of Research Knowledge is a program that specailzes in creating written articles for many sourses. SPARK makes U of G Research understandable to the general public. I am in charge of video production, but I am also a writter and photographer in training. I have published work in all areas, and we recieve coaching and mentoring in all of our work.
